Dialogue: Skill Challenge

NoteGametip: Keep record of your successful skill checks in this skill challenge.

The figure that stands before you seems very old. You guess from its voice that this person is female. At some stage, her entire body, has been severely burnt, so much so there is no way of telling even what race she is. She is incredibly thin, and has a few clumps of silver hair hanging down around her face. Although its hard to tell, the edge of her cloak seems to blurs as she moves; making you think she may not be physical but an appariation.

You say: "We are here on behalf of Petvin Spiritforger of Dragonshore Temple. We need to find blossoms from the firebloom plant desperately. Can you help us?"

Ghostly Figure: "What is this 'Dragonshore' you speak of?"

You say: "Dragonshore is the town, not 15 miles from here. How can you not know of its existance? "

Ghostly Figure: "The only town I know of is Faircrescent, near the waters edge south of here, and it is not one I care for...Although Pyrlanth may have been merciless, I tend to share his disdane for town and city folk. Draining the land of all its resources with no regard for the natural order of things! Why should I help you or this town of yours?"

After a moment of thought you respond: "Has the recent goblin intrusion into this grove not bothered you?"

Ghostly Figure: "What bothers me is none of your business!"

You say: "So if we told you, we would also be clearing the area of these creatures, you would not care for this either?"

Ghostly Figure: "I have lived in this grove for so long, i can't remember the last time I saw the sunshine. The glow of Pyrlanth's soul has made time for me seem to stand still...oh Pyrlanth...why did you have to fight them!"

The gauntly thin figure stares down at the ground, tears well up in her eyes as she recalls some distant memory. After a short moment, you say "Who is this Pyrlanth person you speak of?". She looks up at you with keen interest and says "Are you interested in knowing how this place was formed?"

If you answer Yes, read result 1 immediately. If you answer No, continue on with the skill challenge.

You refocus your attention on the recent events in dragonshore.

You say: "I must be moving, I have many pressing matters, even beyond this grove, like finding out who 'The Master' is for instance. I do not have time..."

Before you can even finish the sentence the figure looks up at you from staring blankly in the distance with wide eyes.

She says: "The Master..."

You say: "Yes...We cant find who he is..."

She responds: "Not so much who, but WHAT...."

You say: "You know of him!? Scholer Olohand has been searching his real name for...."

Before you can finish your sentence, the old women abruptly interrupts.

She replies: "Pyrlanth once told me a tale of a young man, A villager of whitebirch. He's name was...he's name was...Droven Whyte! Events took place in Faircrescent...unspeakable events...Tell your scholer friend to search for his name and you will find your master! If the master has returned, we are ALL in grave danger..."
